Durham also happens to be in close proximity to some of the leading universities in the US, including Duke University, the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, Wake Forest and NC Central University. 

Durham makes up part of Research Triangle Park (RTP), which has the world’s highest concentration of Ph.D.’s and M.D.’s per capita. It's home to hundreds of technology companies, and Shoeboxed is proud to be part of an emerging and thriving dot-com community here. Durham itself has continued to grow and is almost always listed in top 5 lists for great places to live and cities with the best job growth.
